Hi!
My vote is for walkman. The first time I saw one I got a shock. Walkman meant freedom (or, at least, mobility) for us, teenagers during 90's. Of course, I never had a «real» walkman (branded «Sony»). I could only afford an aiwa «walkman». But I felt great with that half-kilo cassette monster.
The statement considering that Apple's iPod has changed music for ever is not true: the walking-music-player-device concept was born a long time before ipod.
Greetings,
Emilio.

Thanks for your comment, Emilio. I never had an original Sony walkman either ;)Do you remember the big headphones? They were more like earmuffs. Now they seem to be in fashion again!!!

My vote is for GPS technology systems. Lots of times I have been asked myself who was the genius of this invention. I think is really useful anyway you travel and I can´t imagine how a satellite can guide you around all the world. Moreover, new technology with GPS systems and mobile internet at phones allow you go walking or by car everywhere, and the main advantage is safety.

Hi Sheyla,

Thanks for your comment. Yes, GPS technology is very useful indeed. Maybe one day it will replace conventional maps.
